Fort Collins Cycling - Climbs

- North Dam
- This climb from Bellvue to the high point at the north end of Horsetooth Resevoir is only a mile at 6.7% but it kicks up steeper as you near the top finishing at 12%. This is a great climb for testing fitness or doing ramp intervals.
- Rattlesnake
- Also know as Pole Hill this 3.0 mile climb is situated west of Berthoud. It's steady 7.8% grade makes it an excellent hill for doing intervals.

- Rist
- A 9.3 mile climb west of Fort Collins. The canyon averages 5.5% but has several sections that are much steeper. The views from the 8,000 foot summit are incredible.
- Rist - Back Side
- This climb starts in Stove Prairie and climbs to the top of Rist Canyon. Although it is only a mile long the steady 11% grade makes this a very tough climb.
- Stadium Hill
- This 1.4 mile climb is a tough way to start any ride from Fort Collins. Starting next to Hughes Stadium this climb averages 6.3% but has a very steep section in the middle.
